Finally (it only took me seven years, tons of therapy, getting sober, and a deep spiritual awakening) I am telling the whole story about my journey with my partner Rayya Elias — her cancer diagnosis, our determination to pack a lifetime of love into the final months of her life, her harrowing descent into drug addiction, my equally harrowing descent into a codependency fugue state, her death, my grief, my decision to get sober, and in the end, a hard-earned, divinely informed, radical new freedom.
